A Zuba Grade 1 Area Court in the Federal Capital territory,
Monday, sentenced Hassan Tanko, 20, a motorcyclist of Sabiri-Dei Dei,
FCT, to 3 months in prison for cheating.
The Presiding Judge, Mallam Alhassan Kusherki, sentenced Tanko after he pleaded guilty to the one-count charge of cheating.
Kusherki,
however, gave the convict an option of N10,000 fine. He also ordered
the convict to pay N16,000 as compensation to the complainant.
The
prosecutor said Tanko deceived one Sunday Chado in April and collected
N16,000 from him with a promise to rent a room for him.
